”Whooewhoo” is a pull no punches, claustrophobic eternal love song, about not being able letting go.
Not so unlike the band “Souls”, themselves.
Johan, Cecilia and Andreas formed as a band in 1992, in Helsingborg, Southern Sweden.
They released several ep’s and two studio albums, (apart from the fore mentioned ”Tjichischtsiy (Sudêk)” in 1994, ”Bird, Fish or inbetween” in 1996), both on Telegram Records, and toured extensively in their native Sweden as well as in the UK and USA.
They split up in 1997, and now, in the midst of the worst pandemic crisis, release new material, more than 20 years down the line together with a new drummer Markku Hildén.
Some things must be allowed to take it’s time, especially in the fast paced society we have created.
So with a world in turmoil it feels both comforting and important to unveil one of the longest and perhaps most challenging Music videos, as far as ones patience, are concerned.
The original filming, and it’s inspiration is the brain child of german choreographer and dancer, Andriana Seecker.
In it, she embodies the very core of the claustrophobic yet brittle emotions of the Music itself.
It was recorded in Marseille, France, seven years ago, by film maker and french photograper, Chloé Boutin.
Originally meant as part of a theatrical piece, that was never used by the pair, and thus mourned by Andriana Seecker, as she had put a lot of her mind, soul and effort into it, strongly inspired by the grief due to a suicide by a family member.
The first time she heard the song, she immediately thought the sequences, tucked away on a long forgotten harddrive, could come to use.
The band explains;
When we experimented and merged our song with the film, magic happened.
The music and the film came together in the most natural way and created a completely new relevance, meaning and nerve. The two separate art forms married and gave new life to one another.
We Hope that You will Enjoy this as much as We do.

It makes no sense
I’ll do a shame dance for you
I’m on the fence
But I need you I’ll stick like glue
Where’s my posse?
I’ve got no one here
You’re no party
Something’s wrong in here!
I try to mend
I’ll wait for a breaking through
How low I would crawl for you!
Where’s my posse?
All asleep in here
Everybody stare at their cellphones
Something’s wrong in here
The apple furthest out the limb
A bite, a bit for every sin
I stretch myself to be set free
from reminding all of you & me
But oooh – always back to you, WHOOWHOO
I cannot stop to sing to you – don’t even know what the hell I do – I miss the times when love was fresh – you’re everything I need to forget but oooohh – always back to you – WHOOWHOO
A million thoughts, I am a thought, I am everything I thought I was not, I am the arrow that goes all right through, piercing every moment between me and you – whoowhoo – always back to you – whooewhoo
A billion stars above my head
All whispering the things you said
I try to shut it out to run – to cut you out and go all numb
YOU – always back to you –
So fuck you – Fuck You!!!!!
