Dance Step Tutorial 10 MOVES
#1 ) TAPPING Hold a pose, only things to move are right foot and head. Toes tap as head and toes
move right then left. 8 times * counts with beat are 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8
2) KNEE BEND – Moving into a Straight line facing camera, one behind the other. As you walk to
position, bend knees deeply and pick knee up as high as you can. Arms make a swooping motion
down, up and back as knee comes up then down, hands in fists. 4 times * counts with beat are
1,2,3,4
3) ARM SWOOP PUNCH Once in straight line alternate stepping out then back and out and
back ,alternating stepping out Right and Left.. As you step in your direction out to the side, the same
arm as leg swoops out parallel with the ground, as you step back feet together once again in
straight line you sharply hit your arms out symmetrically ,with all participants hitting arms out at
different levels to create a peacock feather look. Repeat moving in opposite direction. 2 times *
counts with beat are 5,6,7,8
4) STARFISH MOVE Now we want to step out of our straight line moving in opposite directions,
feet- choose which way everyone is moving out to the side then little step together of feet, moving
opposite foot then the direction your traveling in (little step) then stepping out with same foot as
direction your traveling. (big step) ( this is a ball change) Arms swoop straight up above head then
circle out to sides as they come down * counts with music, feet n 1, hold 2, n 3, hold 4, * counts with
music arms up 1, swoop down 2, arms up 3 swoop down 4
5) LUNGE BACK Now keeping your body facing front , knees in deep bend , lunge right foot back
then step back together. At the same time right arm circles back with hand flexed up, allowing your
head to move as you focus on your hand . Repeat left side. * counts step back 5 together 6, step
back 7, together 8
6) HIP UP JUMP – Twist body as you lift right hip and knee up towards the front, arms swing above
head, step back with right foot tap left toe, arms swing down, then step left foot forward to repeat *
counts hip and knee up 1, step back 2, tap toe 3, step forward 4, repeat 2 times hip and knee up
5, step back 6, tap toe 7, step together 8
7) DAB TWIST -Facing front chug right foot out to side 4 times ending up with body facing left.
Upper body leans toward that same side as you( DAB your arms),right elbow beat with your face
tucked into crook of elbow left arm texted out and slightly up. * Counts 1,2,3,4
8) HOP KICK OUT now Facing your body left ,hop back as you kick out left leg foot flexed arms
punch out to side of your body swoop in front of chest. Jump facing right side deep bend in knees,
arms down by side. Repeat facing right side, hop back extending right leg out foot flexed, arms
same swooping motion , ending up jumping forward deep bend in knees arms down by side. *
Counts hop kick 5, jump 6, hop kick 7, jump 8.
9) CHICKEN DANCE – Moving forward with deep bend in knees, as knees move out in ,out in as big
as you can, 4 times, back of hands on hips slightly back. 4 times * counts out in 1, out in 2, out in 3,
out in 4.
10) CRISS/CROSS/JUMP FINISH – jump crossing feet then jumping feet out to side 2 times quickly,
then do any large jump with hands in air to end * counts cross 5, jump out and, jump cross 6, jump
out and, then large jump on 7 camera turns off 8
