“Uprooted – The Journey of Jazz Dance” is new full length documentary film that chronicles the evolutionary path of jazz dance from it’s roots in African dance to today’s hybrid forms. Bob Boross conducts a live interview with director Khadifa Wong, producer Lisa Donmall-Reeve, and Zak Nemorin (original concept) about their journey, process, and findings in the course of researching and creating this groundbreaking film. “Uprooted – The Journey of Jazz Dance” debuts in a virtual format as part of the Dance on Camera Film Festival at Lincoln Center NY on Sunday, July 19, at 7pm Eastern time.
