Poem:
we fear the air
No time to spare
our actions will decide

how well we fair
ourselves laid bare
from others we must hide

for in this time
some in our prime
can we even call this strife?

If you look to me
what will you see?
Has all colour leeched from life?

We welcome your stories too! For the past 3 years, we have been deep in reflecting on the concept of otherness: its impacts, but also its universality. This video is part of a series where we are utilizing our creative practice to hear and amplify your stories. What are you experiencing?
– During this time of necessary social distancing, how has otherness impacted you?
– What feelings are you experiencing: loneliness, displacement, isolation, fear, loss of identity?
– How are you finding ways to respond or to heal, to be resilient and to connect?
– How do you see individuals, our communities, society, or the earth responding to these?

Share a short piece or thought on how these themes or questions resonate with you through any creative medium: prose, poetry, a story, a song, a picture, an image, a form, a dance, a movement, a rhythm. Please submit your stories via this Google form: forms.gle/Y5CsWL6LetLCPy277. Inspired by your contribution, our ensemble would love to amplify your voice by creating short vignettes that we will share. We will be accepting stories on a rolling-basis throughout 2020.
