Some people are tired of the usual cinemas, and some have never watched a movie on the big screen. In one school there is a dance group, and in another vocal lessons. However, it is one hour a week in the old assembly hall. Dozens of student photos and paintings are still waiting for their “star” time, while classrooms with armchairs and colored carpets have become “museums of unrealized dreams.” New meanings need new spaces. And you don’t need bulldozers or tons of sand to make them. Thousands of people in Ukraine and around the world are creating new creative spaces on the basis of old factories, village clubs or other communal buildings that are not used for their intended purpose. This process is called revitalization. It was after the revitalization that the Ivano-Frankivsk plant “Promprylad” turned into a large-scale innovation, cultural and economic platform. However, a small school room or a village club room can be a similar space. The main thing is to add a little creativity and fill it with meaning. Draw, dance, write, discuss, create, craft, show, combine. Create! Become a driver of meaningful change in your community. Look for the link to register in the video description.
