She Didn’t Want Her Students To Be Left Behind:
How Miss Allison Got Educated, Got Certified, and Seriously Upleveled Her Dancers By Adding In Acro.
Miss Allison is primarily a Jazz teacher and did not have a background in Acro.
She was seeing other studios at competition with students performing Acro tricks everywhere – even the jazz category.
And she didn’t want her students to be left behind – she knew she needed to learn how to teach Acro.
But she was nervous. Nervous because not only did she not know how to do Acro tricks herself to be able to demonstrate, she had also never learned them growing up as a student … she wasn’t sure if it would be possible for her to learn how to teach Acro Dance properly.
But once she decided to take the plunge and commit to the ADTA process – she got the training she needed, a system in place for her students, and the ongoing support system of the online ADTA community.
Now that she’s certified, she’s still able to regularly check in, ask questions, and get help and feedback anytime she needs to.
And what she loves the most about the ADTA system, is clarity of the overall program.
It’s very clear why students work on the drills and exercises they do in each level …
A Backward Roll will be a Back Tuck one day …
The plank exercises in the Junior warm-ups will become a Shoulder Stand in a year or two …
It’s all very comprehensive; if you follow the system, you WILL get the results.
Allison knew that if she wouldn’t have pursued her certification with the ADTA, her students would have been left behind.
Now, Allison’s students are not only excelling in Acro, they are stronger in ALL of their other genres, and they are “just more confident people.”
Allison is proud of her students and their accomplishments; they are going to competition and really standing out, and she knows that adding in Acro Dance was her SECRET WEAPON to upleveling their success!
