Having migrated away from Lightwave 3D I needed to find an auto character rigger that was straight forward and easy to use. I had previously used Rebel Hill’s Rhiggit Pro which had served me well for the little character animation I had done, so I opted for Auto-Rig Pro from Artell. I found the rig to be more than sufficient and Lucas Veber (the designer) to be really helpful with the few things I did not understand fully about the rig. I love the option of using bone sets and poses especially for the hands which were a massive time saver (didn’t have anything like that in Lightwave). Anyway I wanted to see how ARP worked and also get familiar with the animation tools in Blender so this is my first outing. Rendered in Eevee in about 10 minutes. I know the movements aren’t exactly that smooth but the whole thing was a bit of a rush.
