THANK YOU

We would also like to specifically thank our PI, Professor Menninghaus, our last-minute excellent camera man, Stefan Redeker, and our wonderful colleagues from the Max Planck Institute for Empirical Aesthetics for all their help and guidance in the processes of our project. BIG THANK YOU. Please also see the credits at the end of the movie.

The beautiful music in the clip is “Elegant Waters” and “Tag Team”, available on Audio Network. We have a Creator+ license to use both.

Dance Your Emotion is an international team of researchers from various disciplines including psychology, neuroscience, filmmaking, dance, computer science and anthropology. We’re researching dance from an empirical aesthetics point of view. Our research is about why we like the dances of the world, what we find beautiful, and how and why both watching and doing dance can make us feel good.
Due to incomprehensible visa difficulties for our Iranian researchers, our research is halted over and again.
We have worked together for 3 years now.
Number of rejected visas: 6
Number of granted visas: 3

“Besieged [Iranian] researchers say that currency collapse, scientific isolation and psychological strain are hindering almost every aspect of their work.”
