A few words about this montage video – It’s the TENTH montage in a row created by DancEd Dad & Rock Star Video Editor Dan Fisher, and as always he’s done amazing work in showing us how fantastic our DancEd Dancers (and Instructors!) really are.

This montage is different than all our others for 2 reasons – #1, we’re more limited with our content because the 2019-20 dance year was essentially cut short by 3 months. We would typically have more video from our youngest dancers taken during Picture Week and the classes in May when they are performing for each other at DancEd. It’s very noticeable to us and we miss those beautiful little smiling faces.

#2 is a strange but arguably good problem to have, and that is the length of the montage is not bound by an actual dance recital happening around it. Typically, we have to keep our montage around 5 minutes because we’re on a tight schedule to keep our shows moving. That’s not the case this year, so Dan made the observation that since he’s not bound by a time limit he could just get in his groove and keep rocking! His being in the zone is our collective gain, so this 2020 montage is a bit longer than other years. YAY!

It’s more than a little surreal seeing images taken just a handful of weeks ago with kids dancing and being together like they should be. We hope you’ll enjoy this and think of it as a life record of the 2019-20 dance year at DancEd, and a showcase for the way things are and the way the should actually be.

But no matter what it looks like to you or how it makes you feel, it’s without a doubt a testament to the rock solid resilience and fortitude of our dancers and dance families.

DancEd Dancers, YOU ROCK!!!!!
